Welcome to the official website of the Department of Biochemical Sciences "A. Rossi Fanelli". Our Department is located in the main campus of Sapienza University of Rome, in a historical building more ancient than the campus itself. The Department also has a secondary seat in the nearby district of San Lorenzo.
The Department has been instituted in April 1986, and in 1991 it has been renamed after Prof. Alessandro Rossi Fanelli, the founder of the roman school of Biochemistry.
